Overview
All it took is one date and Carine and Mike knew this was it. They knew that they had found what they wanted in a soulmate in each other so they wasted no time. Mike proposed 5 months after that first date and they married later on that year surrounded by 150 friends and family. Their wedding was planned in only 2 months, but the celebration was grand.
Carine was one of the most laid back brides that I have ever seen. You couldn’t wipe the smile from her face that entire day. Carine and Mike opted to have a first look before their evening celebration to allow for more time for photos with their bridal party outdoors before the sunset. Her parents, who live in the Democratic Republic of Congo, couldn’t be there but they were present via FaceTime the entire time. However, those who were present showed up big. There was a lot of love and joy in the atmosphere. True to their Congolese heritage, there was also a lot of dancing.
I loved to work with A Peace Of Cake Event Planning for my wedding because they know what they are doing. I didn’t have to complain or be concerned about anything because they had everything under control. From the beginning to the end of planning I felt like I had nothing to do but only to show up on my wedding day.
